Awwww Maaannnn!
So late yesterday, the UPS truck made a delivery to my house and dropped of my new updated Heng Long Sherman tank. I installed one of my extra batteries and I must say that I love the new sounds AND the more realistic tank speed. I've spent the last week downloading photos of camouflaged Sherman tanks to get some ideas since this is a model that I can really try to recreate battle damage on. I decided to take one last spin with it for the night when I heard some really gnarly grinding noises. When I inspected the tank, I discovered a broken rear idler! Not happy.

Until you get a replacement you should remove it and use some JB Weld to repair the broken idler. It is an epoxy that is impregnated with metal and is super strong. I have used it on metal parts to repair them and it works great. WalMart. Lowes, Home Depot will have it. Cures in about 30 minutes. Tehn you would be able to run your Sherman until you get the replacement parts.

Thank you so much for the offers of a replacement. You guys are great!! I emailed Costway yesterday around 4PM and they replied to me around 10PM promising to get me a replacement within 20-30 days as they have to order from a Heng Long supplier. I was REALLY impressed to get a reply at that time of night on the same day that I sent them an email. I did get the broken one working temporarily exactly as was suggested so I can run it now. I plan on contacting Imex-Erik to see if he can get me two metal idlers and bushings. BTW, the metal idlers will work with the plastic tracks, won't they? Anyway, thanks again for all of the offers of help guys. You're the ones that make this site so great!
