Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against film covering...just not on any plane that you are taking to a majority of the events you listed...will they even let you through the gates at Top Gun or Scale Masters with a film covered model?
Like the bash idea and nice drawings. Is that pencil on vellum? Wow. It's ye olde "CAD software???...We don't need no steenking CAD software" thing, huh? Good job!

If I could apply a film covering as well as Teamscalepilot does, I wouldn't paint either and neither would the rest of you guys.

I may be able to help you with this project. I have built and flown a RCM Piper Seneca II. I am currently building another one (I have a thread going on the twin forum). I recently bought a set of plans for a Beech Baron 58 that was listed on Ebay, in fact I think it is 84" wingspan. I haven't thought about building it because it looks like the top of the fuselage was utilizing alot of urethane foam to deal with the compound curves, but seeing your thread got me to thinking that the plans could be utilized for the wing and tail surfaces while using the TF fuselage. Let me know if the plans might help you, as I am very interested in building this bird. By the way, I am running two OS Surpass 70's on my Seneca which I think would also be perfect for this project as well.

I have thought of doing the same thing with the House of Balsa V35. It would be 1/2A, of course. The plans are looking good. As has been said before, the fuse on the F33, V35, and B55 are almost identical firewall aft. The wings are similar, save for the longer tips on the wings. The B36 and B58 share the same fuse, which is a little longer than the 35 fuse, also it the wing is set back on the fuse a little. The Baron tails are like the straight Bonanza tails, only a little bigger. I fly a B58 and have access to a B55, V35, and B36, let me know if any pics or measurments are needed. Might also be able to get scans from mx manuals.

I'll see what I can get. I don't remember the manuals inculding cross sections. It does have isometric cut aways that may be of some help. Do you want the 55 or 58?

Here are the last two pics I had the B-55 Painted in the late style scheme to match my B-58.
In this pic is a good shot of the tail and I think it is one of the few items on the baron that is nothing like the bonanzas

Dave,
How sweet does a fella have to talk to get privy to those drawings when you are thru? I have a Bonanza kit I'm going to build, maybe I will copy the needed parts and build one of these too! So many projects, so little time!
