TLF-The Mach is a far better motor but since you have the parts should you get a FRE, even if you aren't big in racing you can build it and it will be a far better truggy than the RTR.

Mystikal-No, you can't dye black plastics, you have to dye them a darker color than they already are.

That may be why the plastic is used for the braces and servo tray.
