My Mustang came out in excess of 26 pounds but fly`s like a dream, I am pretty sure that I have seen mention upto 30 pounds weight for this model without problems.

Hi why don`t you just fit a 90 degree elbow to the inlet manifold this will put the carb alongside the cylinder and enable air to be sucked from within the fuselage.;)

There is no way you can check your smoke pump indoors as it needs the pressure pulses from the engine running to work, those 2 screws you have in the tank fill and vent lines ONE of them...

Might be an idea to double check your pipes for any kinks which will stop the flow, it all looks a little bit cramped in the engine bay which may give you some problems with pipes being melted where...

Before you start to worry about being nose heavy get as much of the build done as possible then try the model for CG especially if you are going to glass and paint the finished model as you can soon...

I used just under 4 metres of 25 gram cloth on mine but this left some nice sized offcuts for any patch work or repairs etc.

tbuddingh, I don`t think weight is much of a problem with this model and I have seen posts of them weighing upto 29 pounds and still performing nicely.

Jan I believe you were using a Mckay 45 in your model if so check the plug cap fitting as a couple of members in my club have had problems with them coming loose
