What happened to the weather forecast? Looks like a little rain every day now. Guess we will be flying between raindrops. 😁

Robert was busy this morning and ran the finish mover over the area I cut a couple of weeks ago with the Brush hog, the area is looking good, I plan on more cutting with the brush hog tomorrow.

is anyone coming in from anywhere near Mercerburg PA 17236? I am looking for someone to transport a plane to the meet and take a different plane back there for me.

I would be glad to chip in on fuel costs. It would be a great help.

Please let me know

Thanks
Anthony

Thursdays weather was great we had a little wind gusts that were not predicted early in the day; not a big deal, we had great group of guys that arrived, with non stop flying.
It was a partly cloudy day then latter in the day the clouds broke over the airport and we could see a rain storm pass about 5 miles south of the airport around 7 PM, we had a hand full of rain drops then it moved on and we flew jets until sundown and then night flyers after dark. The forecast for the rest of the weekend is great, with a slight chance of a pop up shower, I have seen this many times where the rain will pass on either end of the airport (North or South) and there will not be a drop here...

Thanks to all for attending our event! I haven't had this much fun at an event in years! Incredible venue, beautiful weather, unlimited flying, night flying and the Saturday night shenanigans on the flight line were priceless! It was so awesome to see so many of my old friends as well as make some new friends! well done everyone and I already can't wait for the fall event!

The 13th Annual Early Summer OC-Turbo fest is now in the books, we had excellent weather sans a two hour rain on Friday afternoon.
Flying started Thursday and went to noon today. We had 32 registered participants from Delaware, IL, MI, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
We had the largest turn out of RV's in the history of the event, and we even had one of our AMA district III AVP's as a participant.
The Mayor of Titusville PA and the airport advisory board was in attendance to emphasize that they were in full support of our activities at the airport, it was quite the honor to have them speak during our Saturday pilots meeting. They were then treated to a special demonstration of Ken Olsen T-33 flown by Jim Hiller, if you have every seen Jim's presentation it is quite good, unfortunately we did not have a sound system to play the music mix for the demo flight, next time!
After that, the Mayor and the group was treated to a aerobatic demo by an impressive young man in the Jet scene, Dwayne Woods Jr. flying his Elite Aerosports Havoc.
The local government representatives had nothing but complements for all of the participants, they thoroughly enjoyed the event and were inquiring when we could do another one and invite the public.
I have a bunch of photos and will begin adding as I have time...

The Rochester NY and NJ crowd

Ben completing his final Turbine Waiver flight Congratulation to our new young Jet Pilot!

Fun on the Flight line, congratulations to Gerry who beat out Scott for the low pass award, Gerry now needs to paint the bottom of his Freewing T-33 after leaving the skid marks on the runway, somehow he was able to get it airborne after a 20 foot skid....
