There is a CG stand available from Pacific R/C Jets that supports the larger jets. It works pretty good and isn't super expensive. Of course, there's always the Xicoy CG machine but it does take some setting up but is highly accurate.

Received my pro today.
Need to buff the fuse bottom out where the yellow paper chaffed and marred it and trim the spar tube down so the wings will seat properly against the fuse but other than that is very good looking.

So did that yellow paper rub through clear into the gray.
Have you tried some polish compound to see if it buffs out?
Nice scheme and colors

Yeah whatever was on that paper or the paper itself rubbed or if there is a clear on the outside of the plane it transferred to the paper . The exact patterns of gray crap on the paper matches the same pattern on the fuse bottom .

it looks like paint or clear coat softened and bled into the yellow paper but I don’t think Carf puts and clear or any paint on the outside to my knowledge, unless it’s the special UV protectant coating that Mike said they needed to use to keep the flat neon magenta from fading , then that’s what transferred.

Either way it doesn’t buff out , it’s permanent .
always my luck, I never get a perfect looking plane, always something damaged or cracked or chipped

My rebel had some of that, I used a clay bar and it cleared right up. I wanted to avoid using a harsh compound.

My Rebel Max showed up last night. I'm going to set it up the exact same as the Pro. I don't know if y'all want me to put the build process in this thread so I probably won't but, the only difference in cost when this is finished was the plane itself. All other components will be exactly the same as if I were putting it in a Pro. By the way, holy cow is this plane HUGE. It's quantity two of my wife!
Components:
Kingtech K235G4
PowerBox Mercury SRS w/ GPS
2 x Futaba 7108 RX's
Futaba 9177 Servos running @ 7.4 V
Electron ER50 retracts w/ GS-200 controller
5L fuel tank (may change to CMJets)
Futaba 32MZ

I can't even put the wings on in the house!

If it's into the paint you can mask off the area and get a can of instant clear coat spray from a body paint supplier.

Then use a fine polishing/ finishing compound and a orbit buffer and it will be like new

Seems like the paint wasn't hardened completely, guess they were in a rush packing it up for the seacontainer shipment.!!!!!

The CMjet tank are six liters, plus a smoke tank that fit in front of the engine , heres the link

I'm going to order these tanks for my Rebel Pro and gain an extra liter of fuel from the factory size

When y'all attach components to the top deck under the canopy, are you using some sort of wood on the underside of the deck to screw into or something different?

When I built mine and a couple others for a couple guys, I put a piece of 1/8" lite ply under the top shelf to add just a bit of stiffness to the deck so as to help give a solid surface for the gyro and ease of mounting all the other components.

For anyone who has recently ordered and gotten their Electron Retracts through CARF, did you receive the newest versions of the ER-50's.
They would be the ER-50 eVo versions.
I would like to make sure that I am getting the newest version of these retracts. It's the first time I am getting a set of Electron gear.

Thanks

I just use this staff on all my jets, and specially on Rebel, I got them at amazon, they are great and strong.

I've got the new ones on three Rebel Pro's and Mephisto's, I think that they are the only option for ER50's now, since around April if I recall good

I just got mine Thursday. The boxes say ER50evo retracts but the actual retracts don't say EVO. I thought they did but I guess not. There's not a choice for the older version on the boxes so I believe they are the Evo's.

Even for a 250ml UAT? I'm a fan of double sided tape but for the heavier components, does this still make sense?

Hello Joe, I ordered mine from Electron directly to save a few dollars .
For my future Rebel Pro order through Mike McConville hopefully, it's being built now if everything is go correctly.
I would fasten some plywood 1/8 with hysol for some more structural strength.
