Matomart. Not quite 40% off HL tanks, it varies. I did snag metal tracks with rubber pads for both the M1A2 and Leopard 2 though, the prices were hard to pass up.

Thanks for the heads up, but it is a bit of a scam. I was all set to pop on some stuff until I hit the checkout screen and they wanted to hit me for $27 to ship. Nothing more than a shell game if you ask me. My cart was still open from last month when the parts I wanted would have shipped for free and it was only a difference of a few bucks compared with the "sale" price this month.

I'll definitely be buying some parts for my Abrams there since I got it for $106 shipped here:

Costway is the real 50% sale off the tanks.

Some of the warehouses of Costway are right here in the USA where as Matomart must ship from Canada.
A much different story in shipping.

I just discovered costway, and another good one is the ebay seller toolsempire. That's where i got my Abrams, for about $3 more ($109, free shipping) and they have other good cheap tanks with free shipping. I'm still thinking about picking up another Pershing. At $79.99 with free shipping it's a pretty good deal for a brand new tank. They also have the Sherman for $89.99 and the T34 for $99.99, all with free shipping.

That's good to know. I'll add it to the list, and as you probably already know, rcdynasty is matomart on ebay, just as island enterprises is Imex on ebay. It can really pay to shop around, and now I'm totally bummed I just paid $135 for Abrams tracks that are now on sale for about half that. Doh!

They also have MZ Promotional versions (metal tracks, sprockets and zinc gearboxes) of the Pershing and Tiger for $119 and $115. Super good deal when the tracks alone are close to $70.

I did not know. Thanks. Looks like we need a list to keep track of this global economy.
Why can we not get Platinum editions in the states?

It seems Costway is a new company and they carry a lot of different items like Walmart. I hope Costway can get enough profits and continue selling the henglong tanks at these prices. We had different henglong tank sellers in the past years. Some of them were selling the henglong tanks at a really good price. Like raidentech... However, these companies have discontinued to carry the henglong tanks. Some of them are no longer in business. Matomart is the only henglong tank seller who can survive 12 years. Another company called nova hobby they are also in the business for a long time maybe from 2009 or 2010. They are all good people. I get my tanks and parts from these two companies. For experienced tankers, you can buy from anywhere. Because you know how to fix these tanks. Please give more patience and understanding to Costway. They carry a lot of items and they may know nothing about rc tank. For new tankers i suggest to buy from good sellers like imex, matomart and nova hobby. The henglong tanks i got from matomart have an inspection checklist showing what they have checked before shipping. I think they also add bubble wrap to protect the tank. I almost have enough mato points to get a free tank from them. Nova hobby always make things right for me. They are all good.

I think I know Nova Hobby as intnova on ebay. I've used them many times and they're a great vendor. This is the link to their tank page on ebay, and I think their "Premier version" is the one that's been asked about.

Another good ebay seller that usually has free shipping is toucanhobby. This is their page, and at the left you'll see it's easy to find a specific tank or category.

Of course, right now the sale at matomart blows them out of the water, but for small items they have good prices and the free shipping makes all the difference.

That Premier version has the steel gear boxes, but Platinum also has metal roadwheels from what I can tell from overseas. Pretty sure they are the screw in type like stock HL plastic and I'm not even sure they have bearings.

Hey ----- thanks for the heads up on the toucan website. I think I just give myself a Chally for Christmas. I've been good this year. Heck, I'm too old to be anything else!

Pcs, I think I just found my roadwheels! Thanks a bunch. I knew about mideatec but didn't know they had these. Good find, I owe ya one.
Rex, I ordered the $175 all plastic Chally and they say it will be here Thursday, but that being Thanksgiving I have some doubts. Anyway, as soon as it arrives I'll do a box opening. I really hope the metal tracks with rubber pads turn out to be interchangeable. I know the Leo tracks are a couple links longer, but I've read that Abrams and Chally have the same tracks. I'll eventually get a set for each, but they're pretty pricey and other projects are in line ahead. Today I'm back on the PzIII. A long time ago I did some stuff with the Asp and the Taigen airsoft barrel recoil and Kevin was so tickled he said he's gonna send me a free Asp. I've been hoping it will be here in time to use in the new PzIII project, but time is running out. I'm doing a video build log so if I have to I can start with stock electronics, and at least I have anti track recoil for it. That Taigen metal lower for the PzIII/Stug is a real sweet piece of kit.
